A current postgraduate student at University of Nottingham, looking to complete an MA in Visual Culture this September. I have a BA (hons) in Drama, graduating in 2007 from University of Lincoln with First Class Honours. Following my undergraduate degree, I’ve spent the last seven years working in various roles as I attempted to figure out what kind of career path I wanted to go down before deciding to return to university. My postgraduate dissertation is focused on pop culture and Fredric Jameson’s theories on postmodernism, as I have a great fascination with Western society’s obsession with celebrity and “low” culture. Whilst in Venice, these are aspects I wish to explore, especially the consumerism in and of the Biennale. I am hugely interested in fashion and follow it religiously. I can be briefly seen in the Nick Cave documentary 20,000 Days on Earth. Have a slight obsession with Twin Peaks.
